During the holidays, it's easy to get caught up in the midst of all. Rushed shopping to find the perfect gift. Decorating the tree. Houses being covered in wrapping paper. Those straggler little pieces of tape that get stuck to your fingers and end up everywhere. Grocery shopping and preparing to feed dozens of mouths.
It isn't until the day of that we focus on the most important reason to be thankful. For those surrounding us. Family, friends, and loved ones. We often spend time remembering those who are no longer with us, though we wish more than anything that they were.
Do not get caught up in the preparation. Be thankful for the time you will spend with loved ones.
May you find peace today. May you laugh often and feel loved. I hope that you make memories today that will last a lifetime.
